I have been working in and around mental health nursing for the past 20 years. Before that I was a stay-at-home mother, shop/bar worker. Went into healthcare as a support worker in 1988 and never looked back.

I am married with 2 grown up children and two beautiful grandchildren. I live in north Wales close to the mountains and open countryside but not too far away from a little retail therapy from time to time.
I enjoy reading, walking, crafts, gardening, my two unruly dogs, people and life in general. Just invested in 2 VW campervans and am looking forward to a little escapism with them.
Currently writing up my PhD on Service User Involvement in Mental Health Care, a contentious issue that I feel passionate about and is fascinating to explore. Just hope it will be a fascinating read when it is finished.
